Personal Statement
One of the goals I am setting for my high school years is taking a language throughout all four years. I am taking German next year and planning on sticking with it all the way through high school. This goal will set me up to possibly go to big universities such as Notre Dame or Purdue. Another goal I am setting for myself is to work on my football skills. I want to be a professional football player for my career, but I am definitely going to have to work toward it. Working on things like speed and agility will get me closer to my goal. My third goal is to maintain at least a 3.8 GPA. I usually have a 3.8, but there are times when I slip up and get a lower GPA. I want to have at least a 3.8 the whole four years of high school and to not make as many mistakes on assignments and study more before tests. My fourth goal is to be more involved in my church. One of my careers paths is going to school to become a pastor, and volunteering more and going on missions trips is really going to help me with that. My final goal is to sign up for basketball. Basketball has been one of my favorite sports for a while now, but I have never played it as a school sport. I've been wanting to, but I don't feel confident in my skills. Practicing will definitely make me better.
My first goal after high school is to get a scholarship at a big name school for football. Football has been my sport ever since I was born, and I want people to know that. I know that getting in to a college for this will be challenging, but I think I can prove myself. Another goal, if football doesn't work, is to go to school to become a pastor. I am a deep believer and the christian faith and want to preach God's word to people. This is something that I am very passionate about. My third possible goal for after high school is to possibly go into the military. I want to go into the military and serve my country. A position I would like to be in the Marines is a sniper. I've always thought of that as something that I wanted to do. My fourth goal is to go into the police force if I can't do my first three goals. I want to protect and serve the people and my community and feel that one of the best ways to do that is being a police officer. My priority in that job would be helping the people. My fifth and final goal, if all else fails, would be to go into law to become a lawyer. I've always had an interest in being a lawyer, because that is also a job where i could also potentially help people. This career path would by far be the hardest, I would have to go to school for a longer time than the last four jobs combined almost, but I am always up for a challenge.

Skills & Abilities
Language: I speak some Spanish and I am taking German next year. My goal is to finish out my high school years taking German for all four years. These four years of a language will get me into more universities than if I didn't take a language.
Skills:
- I am an athlete. I participate in football and track. I very much enjoy running and do it on a daily basis.
- I am very good at getting things turned in on time. I try my best to get assignments handed in on the due date.
- I am a very hard worker. When something has to get done, I will get it done, and I will get it done right.
- Helping people may be a quality more than a skill, but it is something that I try to do all the time. I help my parents with dishes, I hold the door open for people at stores, and I talk to people and help them through their issues and problems.
- Sportsmanship may also seem like a quality more than a skill, but it's one of the best parts about me. I love cheering on teammates in football games and giving them high-fives. I also even high-five the players on the opposing team when they make a nice play or do a good job.
Computer and Media Skills: I know how to do quite a lot on computers. One of the things I do a lot is make power points. I am really good with power point presentations and can make them look really good for school projects and assignments. I also use Google docs for school assignments, like for science and English and today's business. I like Google drive a lot better than Microsoft word because it is easier to save it in my account than on an F-drive of flash drive.

Activities
Extra-Curricular: The one and only extra-curricular activity I am in is Jazz Band. I really like Jazz band and I am planning on taking it as long as I can. I have done two solos in Jazz Band during concerts and I am going to do many more. Another activity I am doing is Middle Level Honor Band. I attempted this last year and feel short pf accomplishing it. This year I came prepared and have already memorized my three scales.
Athletics: One sport I am participating in is Track. This is my first year doing track. The reason I am doing track is to make me better at my other sports. Another sport I am starting this month is Rugby. I've always wanted to play Rugby but never got the chance to. I will be able to use my football skills during spring, which brings me to my final and favorite sport. Football is and has been my favorite sport since I was born. I've played football for three years and I'm going to play it for the rest of my life, whether I'm on an actual team or not.
Volunteer/Community Service: I have only done community service once but I'm going to do more. Last year I volunteered to go on a missions trip with my church to Milwaukee. I helped clean out and old burned up house, and made meals for the salvation army. This was the first missions trip I have been on, and I assure you it won't be the last.
Leadership: The one time I think most about myself being a leader is on the 8th grade football team. My coach saw my heart and passion for the game, and also saw the fire I had before the start of a game. My coach always came to me and told me to pump the team up and get them excited. That was one time where I felt like the leader.
Leisure: One thing I do a lot during my free time is play video games. I have to say it is a very bad habit at times, but it is my main source of entertainment. Another thing I do in my leisure time is watch television. Television is also a lazy addiction of mine. One of my favorite things to do in my leisure time is listen to music. I am a metal head and proud to say so.

Accomplishments
Awards and honors: One award I have received was the Principle's Silver Award in 7th grade. I earned this award for getting all A's and B's during the 2011-2012 school year. Another award I have gotten was the presidential education award. I won this award for getting great grades and having a GPA of 3.2 or more.
Affiliations and Memberships: I have a membership at the Boys and Girls club of Wausau. I went there every day after school last year. I really enjoyed my time there and wish I could still go this year.
Exhibitions: The one and only exhibition I have really showcased was my History Day project exhibit. My History Day project was about the first basketball shoe, and I was told by many of my friends that my project was very cool and very original.
